well, hey there 2010
happy new year!
not sure about you, but 2010 welcomed me with a swift kick in the pants. lost my job, my old company cut off my health insurance a month earlier than they promised, and just tonight my building was evacuated because someone’s pipes burst… do you have any idea what it feels like to stand in 19 degree weather for a little over two hours? thanks to the folks in condo #217, i (along with the rest of the residents in my building) do!
however comma i refuse to let it get me down!
yes, losing my job (with no severance) totally sucks, but it’s an opportunity to get the job of my dreams and i’m determined to do just that.
tomorrow, the agency of my dreams will be getting my resume… for now, i’m crossing my crossables, playing some scrabble, and keeping my chin up. who knows?! maybe for once, i’ll catch a break and the job of my dreams!
*if you just happen to be the agency of my dreams (you’ll know because you’re the only place that got my resume today): keep reading, or don’t… just call me instead. give me a chance. let me knock your socks off, already.
Mike, where I am, it's 19 degrees… and I do believe it should be snowing.
So, until the cold goes away or until I'm sitting somewhere tropical, shaded by palm trees and drinking something out of a coconut (it must have an umbrella in it), the snowflakes will stay.
I'll change the link now… and thank YOU for being awesome!
Must I remind you what a wind chill of 2 feels like? That's nothing actually…last year we had a wind chill of 18 below 0. Too bad I don't have a sauna, brrrrrr
Thanks and I understand your snowflake reasoning!
I'm perfectly happy not knowing how great 2 degrees feels

You go for it girl! In times of misfortune, there is always, I repeat, ALWAYS opportunity. I'll send positive “job getting” vibes your way
By the way, don't you think it's time to ditch the snowflakes? To each his, or should I say, her own. That nice little link in your blogroll is looking awfully dandy, thanks again for being so awesome!
Oh and almost forgot to mention. My posterous is now my main site, mikestenger.com so you can go ahead and change that link when you get the chance. Good luck with everything!
